THE CHALLENGE
Barker Pacific Group (BPG) is a Los Angeles-based commercial real estate development and investment firm focused on value-add commercial real estate opportunities in growth markets across the Western United States for the past 40 years. Michael Barker’s goal, as managing director of the firm, is to raise awareness of BPG and its interest in finding new deals, as well as secure media coverage of the firm’s activities to build credibility with investors and business partners throughout the region.
OUR SOLUTION
Since 2004, our marketing strategy focused on elevating their profile and the awareness of BPG, its strategy, and its properties. We have been planning and implementing a coordinated, integrated marketing and public relations program to increase investment opportunities sourced from the brokerage community.
In 2022 we rebooted the firm’s marketing program by updating their corporate website to give it a modern, fresh look with easy navigation and have since updated six of the firm’s individual property asset websites. These new sites allowed BPG to highlight the firm’s activities and the firm’s asset locations, amenities, and features to attract future tenants. We have coordinated new professional photography and drone footage for each property to post on these websites to accentuate the property's appearance.
Pike+Pham PR has also helped BPG plan and host events at One Sansome to highlight its new public space, The Conservatory and The North Lobby, showcase the newly renovated conference center amenity on the ground floor, and launch the new restaurant, Holbrook House.
News regarding BPG’s many projects in Northern and Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas were distributed to the press and received significant media coverage in real estate trade and business news publications.
Additionally, the integrated marketing campaign included the development of quarterly newsletters highlighting BPG’s leasing activity, new acquisitions, and features about the news coverage they received. We have also secured appearances and speaking opportunities on industry panels to keep Michael Barker and BPG in the news highlighting the firm’s many years of real estate development experience and deep knowledge of the commercial real estate industry.
THE RESULTS
Our news releases garnered impactful feature stories in the most influential business publications of the project’s city and key trades. Features include stories in The SF Chronicle, The Registry, Las Vegas Review-Journal, The Real Deal, numerous business weeklies, and others. We’ve attracted hundreds of real estate professionals to the firm’s properties to see BPG’s capital investments firsthand and support leasing activities.
Our team partnered with Bisnow to host 250 attendees at its Bay Area Architecture and Design in One Sansome’s new conference center amenity space, where we had the opportunity to promote the building and its amenities. The guests expressed their admiration for the new space and were excited to take a sneak peek at The Conservatory before its official reopening.
Pike+Pham PR has successfully launched six new and improved asset sites for their properties as well as their corporate website, creating a cohesive and modern look for the BPG brand. The firm now showcases its knowledge and expertise to its tenants and business partners with a sleek and elevated look.
